In the past, after attending trainings and seminars on network marketing, I would leave frustrated, feeling like a loser. I wanted the meat. I would think to myself, “Just tell me how you did it. Please, just tell me what to do and quit hyping me up. How did you make six-figures a month? How did you go from Distributor to Starship Commander (whatever the highest rank may be)? I just want to know!”
What I decided to do was find out what was stopping me. I knew I possessed the talent and the desire. I wanted to be rich. Yes, I wanted to be rich. I am not the least bit embarrassed by the fact that I wanted to have it all; the American Dream. But at that point, I just had a dream. I didn’t need any more motivation. I needed to do it, and I needed to be really smart about it—I needed to understand how I got paid. What does the company base our commissions on? Was it volume? Yes, volume! Because I had been in sales before, this made sense; I knew the more I sold the more money I made.
I also knew that in order to make the big bucks I needed to be that Starship Commander, so I needed to understand what it took to get there. I studied the marketing plan and I mapped out each step. Once I understood that first step, magic happened (uh oh, here comes the hype!). No, I mean it! Everything started falling into place as soon as I understood what I needed to do and followed the simple system that was in place to do it.
Now, let’s talk about the It Works! Compensation Plan so you can learn how to become an Ambassador Diamond, which pays way more than a Starship Commander. In following our Steps to Success, the first step is to go from Distributor to Executive. Next, you need to set up an 80 BV (bonus volume) autoship (this makes you commission qualified) each month and you need your eSuite for $20 or eSuite Revolution for $29 so you can see what your team is doing and how much volume they have. You need to enroll two distributors and each of them needs to have 400 GV (group volume), which means they are a qualified leg. The volume in a qualified leg might look like this:
Your new distributor is Sally. Sally has a 125 BV autoship. She has four loyal customers. Her group volume looks like this:
125 BV autoship for Sally
1st Loyal Customer has 23 BV
2nd Loyal Customer has 104 BV
3rd Loyal Customer has 87 BV
4th Loyal Customer has 154 BV
1st Loyal Customer has 23 BV
2nd Loyal Customer has 104 BV
3rd Loyal Customer has 87 BV
4th Loyal Customer has 154 BV
Total group volume for Sally is 493, which gives her a qualified leg, because she is over 400 in group volume!
In order to be Executive, you need another distributor to do what Sally just did, so you’ll want to host another party, blitz more cards, call more people, wrap more people, read an inspiring book, listen to the conference calls, go back through the Training Academy, attend a City Tour, attend Boot Camps and most importantly, purchase your ticket to the Yes, You Can Freedom 2012 Conference this coming January because you want to be all in! Build to Executives and you will go to the top.

Great post! This is often how I feel. When my husband was ready to pull the plug after my second month, because I still was not even breaking even, I had to stay focused on growing my team. This will be the first month I see a real profit, and I am so excited about that!
I am also following the Fit Works! program, and you can read my progress here: http://psychologistamanda.blogspot.com/
