What is your Why?

By: Presidential Diamond, Kaye Sowder

Sitting down to write this blog I realize there are countless reasons why I am in this business and I am thinking, "How can I possibly pick one thing to focus on?" Then it dawns on me: it is the why. Your why is the backbone to your entire business. It's not how smart you are, how much experience you have, nor is it how much time you have to devote.  Your why is the backbone; the driving force; the reason you are deciding to work a stay-at-home business and create financial freedom.

Without your why, I guarantee you won't get up every day and put your It Works! shirt on and get out the door. Without your why, you won't make that extra phone call each day, write that thank you note or drive that extra mile to see a prospect.  Without your why, you won't call your distributors in for a business lunch or invite them over for a dream building session. Without your why, you won't host a Training, Opportunity Meeting, Boot Camp or City Tour. Without your why, you won't pay the extra cash to fly across the country and work sunup to sundown with your distributors. Without your why, you can't appreciate your distributors' why, nor can you lead by example. Your job is to live everyday by your why and create action to achieve it. Without a why, how can you create action? What are you acting on without your why?

Sit down a few extra minutes today and think about it; whether you are driving in your car, eating breakfast at the table, or falling asleep on your pillow. Develop images of why you are doing this business. Is it to pay off debt? Drive a new car? Hire someone to clean your home? Buy a new home? Retire yourself? Retire your spouse? Travel the world? Send your children off to college? Renovate your home? Invest in your financial future? Take a dream vacation? What is your why? What makes your heart sing, tears flow, and butterflies flutter in your stomach? What is at the core of you that is driving you to achieve your dreams? Just what IS your why?
