Belief

By: Presidential Diamonds, Denise and Brandon Walsh

One of the biggest hurdles for new distributors to overcome can be found in all different shapes, sizes, and colors.  It comes when you least expect it and can lurk around any corner.  It comes when you are walking into a party, when you are calling back a lead, and when you ask yourself, “What should I do next?!”

FEAR – the silly knot that forms in your stomach—the negative thoughts that run through your head.

Fear can paralyze new (and even seasoned) distributors.  When fear takes over, action stops.

Overcoming this initial fear and replacing it with confidence is KEY for all It Works! distributors.  But what comes first, belief or action?

The answer is BOTH!

Sometimes you have to take action in order to build up the confidence you need.

The more people you wrap, the more confident you will become in the products.  The more parties you book and the more distributors and loyal customers you sign, the more confident you will become in yourself.  The more you blitz, the more confident you will become in your ability to talk to others.  If you wait for the confidence, you might be waiting for quite a while.  Take ACTION first!

Sometimes you have to work on your confidence in order to take action.

First, start with affirmations:
·         I AM an entrepreneur
·         I AM personable
·         People DO want what I have
·         I am EXCITED about this opportunity to share my It Works! story with others

Talk with your upline and allow him or her to share with you all of the superstar qualities that he or she sees in you.  Read books, listen to conference calls, and attend as many local trainings as you can.  Work on your CONFIDENCE!

As an upline, it is my job to sign new distributors and help them succeed.  I try to watch what they do well and tell them OFTEN.  Some new distributors are really passionate about the products, some are very relational, some are organized, some are professional, and some are goal-focused.  Whatever their skill set, they can and will be successful in this business if they believe it’s possible for themselves.  It is my job to help build their confidence through taking action and validating their natural abilities, over and over and over again.

Remember, leaders are not born, leaders are made.  It is our job to help our new distributors take the journey into leadership and watch their comfort circle grow every step of the way.

Borrow my confidence until you believe in yourself J  We don’t have time to waste!
