It Works! Summer Business Tips

Kami Dempsey, Ambassador Diamond

With summer finally here, I wanted to share with you some tips you can implement into your new routine. Everyone’s summer schedule looks a bit different, but the sunshine, great weather and high spirits from all of the Vitamin D we’re soaking in is sure to be found everywhere.

For most of us, it’s bathing suit time, vacation time, get outside and be active time, and a great opportunity to make memories with friends and family. Summer is the best time to intentionally build your business through the activities that come with the season. Don’t put your business on the back burner; put your blinders on and build IT big this summer because a “95% commitment to your It Works! business is 5% short.”

Here are a few ideas to get your business rolling and keep it soaring through the season:

Head Outdoors: summer brings in fun business opportunities like festivals, fairs, and other outdoor vending opportunities. Locate your city’s event calendar and choose the events your target market will frequent.

Team BLITZ Parties! Schedule them weekly with your local team and encourage teammates in other cities/states/countries to rally their teams to do the same. Meet together afterward to learn from each other. What has worked and what hasn’t? That’s the magic in the power of numbers!

Parties. Parties. Parties!!! Get Creative:
Party In The Park: The kids are home, so bring them along.
Pool Wrap Party: Splish Splash, and Wrap!
Barbecue Wrap Parties & trainings as a family: Enjoy the weather, eat and have fun!

Summer Pampering Event: Team up to run a summer pampering event

Vacationing? WRITE OFFS: Get those blitz cards out and those “sexy back” shirts on! Always be ready to wrap. Why not build your business, make tax deductions, and earn wrap cash all at the same time?

Follow Up: Work through your prospect list again. Remember NO is never NO. It’s really about timing and transition. Be a finisher on your follow up!

Local Hang: Set up a time to hang at a local coffee shop and invite your team to bring prospects, chart, strategize, and blitz together anytime they want to stop by. A team that hangs together, builds together, enjoys the journey and stays together.

Free Time: Get into a good book on leadership or marketing. While you’re lying out poolside or at the beach get your personal development in.

Plug In! Don’t forget to get plugged in to It Works! events and weekly calls!

Get Social: Share your summer fun on Facebook with pictures and added #HASHTAGS.

These are just a few ideas to intentionally take advantage of building your It Works! business this summer. Your business won’t grow by chance. Put your blinders on, head out into that sunshine, and put everything you have into your business!

Thanks for sharing this information. I have been trying to help come up with ways to increase employee morale in the small business that I run. We were just looking at some telemarketing programs in order to help connect better with our customers, enabling us to do some of these fun things while better serving our customers and clientele.

We really should make use of our spare time to earn money. We can do it home based. For summer home based businesses, we don't really need a home based business insurance because it will only be during summer. All we need is a strong business plan.

Thanks for these tips! In fact, I have done one of these. I started reading books on marketing. I was inspired to have my own online business but first, I have to learn the essentials of marketing.

Summer is a great time to climb mountains and go to the beach. It's the time to connect with nature. So when summer is near, I make sure I've finished my job of writing Internet Marketing Product Reviews.
