5 Ways to Cope with Stress

“Stress is arguably the number one enemy of your immune system. That’s why I teach people to learn to relax,” explains Dr. Don VerHulst, author of “Ten Keys That Cure”. There are a slew of health problems related to stress, including, but not limited to, heart disease, obesity, and diabetes. In addition, stress can also lead to accelerated aging (who wants that?!). This is why It Works Global worked with Dr. Don to formulate Confianza™. Confianza™ is a naturally based supplement that increases your energy levels while reducing stress and fatigue. Its special blend of herbs was developed to provide a safe way to enhance your ability to cope with all forms of stress: mental, physical, and emotional. Confianza™ uses adaptogenic herbs that help your body react positively to stress.

Dr. Don recommends two Confianza™ every day, to help your body deal with stress in a positive way. If you’re dealing with an especially stressful day (it happens to all of us!) try some of these “stress busting” activities:

1. Take a deep breath. Never underestimate the power of a good, ol’ fashioned LONG, deep breath. As you exhale, imagine all of your problems exiting your body.

2. Take a warm bath. One of my favorite ways to deal with stress is to run a HOT bath, turn off the lights, light some candles, and relax in the tub with a Facial Applicator on my face. Pure bliss.

3. Turn on soothing music. Relaxing music can soothe the soul and rest your mind. Some of my favorite relaxing music artists are Boards of Canada, Augustus Pablo, and Thievery Corporation.

4. Laugh! You know what they say, laughter is the best medicine. And in my experience, it’s true! When I need a good laugh I always reminisce back to those moments when something drop-to-the-ground funny happened to me in the past. I can’t help but let out a chuckle—and it always puts me in a better mood.

5. Write in a journal. If you don’t have a journal, I highly recommend purchasing one! I have a notebook that I can doodle in, or scribble down my thoughts and ideas. When you’re having an especially stressful day, you can let it all out onto the pages of a journal, and then put it away to be forgotten!
