IWG Book Club

In case some of you noticed, I skipped our weekly Book Club session yesterday! (It was one of those crazy days, but it’s because we are working on that super secret, super special project for our Distributors!) For this week’s session, we read chapters 11-15. Immediately upon opening my book to read chapter 11, I was struck by the very first passage (page 51).

“Your mind is a powerful computer. It controls how you feel, and how you feel determines what you attract. Your mind does not know the difference between what is real and what is not. Your imagination can create and your imagination can destroy. Usually when something is not going exactly the way you want it to, you have created a scenario in your mind that is taking power away from what you say you want. The power is taken away through the bad feelings created by your thoughts. Regardless of whether your thoughts are based on reality or not, your feelings are real and your feelings determine what you attract.”

Wow! I had to re-read the passage to really take in what Jordan was saying. He was right! Having the right attitude is so important in this business. Do you think our top leaders wasted any time on negativity? (I can’t do this, I’m not as good as that person, I don’t have what it takes to be successful, etc.) No way! They understand that to be successful, they have to think successful thoughts. It’s the same concept that Jared discussed earlier in the book, about keeping your “Dream Journal”- but this is taking it a step further. Make positive thinking a habit!

They say it takes six weeks to create a new habit in your life. So, I challenge you to start today. Think how Jordan thinks. Don’t allow your imagination to get the best of you by way of fear and self-doubt. Instead- create your reality. Let your imagination run amuck with visions of the life of your dreams- and take steps everyday to make that your reality.

For next week we will be reading Chapters 16-20- meaning we will be finished with Beach Money!
