Decide to go Diamond!

By: Ambassador Diamonds Melody and Blair McFarlane

I am so excited to be asked to write my first blog.  I was told to write something that would be a perspective from the “field”.  I have thought and prayed on what I should write and have decided that I just wanted to share what is on my heart for such a time as this. These are exciting times for our company. I have been involved with It Works since June 2005. I have seen us grow from a very small operation to a multi-million dollar company with state-of–the-art everything!  July was our biggest month ever and we haven’t even scratched the surface of the awesome things to come.

With all the excitement of promotions, people hitting record highs, making more money, becoming debt free, quitting their jobs, etc. it’s easy for some people to look at that and think, “Why isn’t that happening for me?”  If you have had those thoughts, I pray that what I am trying to say will speak to you and encourage you. Why does it happen for some and not for others? I have often wondered that and through reading some great personal development books, have determined that the difference lies within each person. Triple Diamond, Carla Burns, made the comment: “We all have the same products, the same marketing plan, the same abilities, etc.  You can go through all the motions, wear your shirt, blitz, do parties—everything that you do to build your business—and if your belief and attitude is not right, you will continue to subconsciously repel people away from you or you will continue to attract the wrong kind of people.”

How do you break out and experience the full potential that God intends for you to have?  You have to change the way you think about yourself, about people, and your life.  The best way to do that is to get into some good books.
One of the best books that I know of that speaks to building your belief in yourself is “Your Best Life Now” by Joel Osteen.  He covers the “7 Steps to Living at your Full Potential”:
  • Enlarge Your Vision
  • Develop a Healthy Self Image
  • Discover the Power of your Thoughts and Words
  • Let Go of the Past
  • Find Strength Through Adversity
  • Live to Give!
  • Choose to be Happy

You won’t become good by deciding not to be bad; you won’t excel by deciding not to be mediocre; you won’t win by deciding not to lose. Turn your thought life around; begin to change the words that you speak, to yourself and to others. Guard your heart and mind. Make that quality decision to break that negative chain around your neck and reach for that next rung on the ladder of success and pull yourself up.  The choice is yours to make.  Decide to go Diamond!
